what's in my makeup bag?

so venturing into beauty stuff, here is my makeup bag. i admit that i'm a nosy person and i like to see what people have in their bags, like a creep. i have always wanted to post a beauty related entry but i didn't know where to start so i'll just roll along with this haha.

so starting off with the bag, i got it from primark two years ago. i fell in love with the cherry blossom print and it's size is alright compared to the black hole makeup bags i see on youtube. i'll introduce its contents in chronological order that i slap them on my face and end with the brushes i use. 

it has only been a year or so since i started wearing makeup so mostly of my face stuff are bb creams. i usually like to mix two of them e.g. maybelline dream fresh and garnier bb cream. the garnier bb cream was my first bb cream purchase and to be honest, i don't really like it because i have an oily face and this has quite an oily consistency so i'm just trying to finish this bottle (also have another one orz) 

i really like the maybelline dream fresh bb cream because it has a natural finish and not dewy like the garnier bb cream. i think it's oil-free like the dr. jart bb cream so that's a plus because i don't really need additional oil on my face.

if i'm feeling lazy, i forgo bb cream and just use concealer under my eyes and around my nose to cover those sad dark bits and powder the t-zone and cheeks with rimmel stay matte, and l'oreal true match on the rest of the face.

for my sad brows, i make them happy with mua's brow powder. i fill in my brows, mid to tail, with the darkest shade and for the front, i mix both to extend my brows inwards. i don't really use the gel because i don't think i'm skilled enough for that u_u

this next bit is when i'm feeling a lil special. i don't usually use bronzer and blush because ain't nobody got time for that. but i use this chocolate bronzer from bourjois (excuse the ratchetness lol) and blush from marks & spencers if i had extra time.

the eyesss, again, the eyeshadow is when i'm feeling extra special and have extra time. i usually just slap on some of that maybelline cream shadwon and draw that nude and black liner. i don't really use mascara that much yet because i wear glasses and i'm still looking for perfect curler or better curling technique for that strong curled lash game so my lashes don't hit the lenses.

lastly is the lips. currently loving this combination. i apply the matte balm stain first before putting maybelline baby lips on top of it because i find that the matte balm stain enhances the lines on my dry lips even if it's quite moisturising.

ending this post with brushes, here are the ones i use frequently. i use the eco tools powder brush for powdering my t-zone and cheeks with rimmel stay matte because the bristles feels so soft af and i use the kabuki face brush for the l'oreal powder to apply it to the rest of my face. i use the h&m smokey eye brush for my brows. it's a double ended brush, an angled side and a domed side. i use the angled brush to do my brows. rt silicone liner brush is self explanatory.
